I finally got around to finishing my page on the station. There are new photos and text, so check it out if you are interested.

Stephen, excellent job! You've really shown the architectual details of this building. The inside is pretty special too, as are the current owners. smile

I debated on whether or not to put photos of the inside on there. Being that it was a private residence, I thought that might not be such a good idea. I do have some equipment photos containted inside I might could add?

Stephen, I'm thinking you should probably get permission from the owners to post interior shots on your site. They might just say yes once they've seen your photos.

Stephen, your website gets better and better - so much terrific information! I agree with Judy, ask the owners; I'll bet they will let you post the pictures. Tell them we would love to see them here! cool

Nice job, Stephen. We hope to visit there one day. We only have seen the tower from a distance.

Judy,

They have signed off on the page. I sent it to them when I was finsihed to get their approval. They were and are very helpful and forth coming with info. As for the interior photos, I think I will leave it like it is.

Wonderful photos Stephen! Too bad I didn't know this LSS was there when I went to Oak Island last March. Must have driven right past it.

You did. It is just across the street and to the left if you are facing the beach.

Part of the difficulty in spotting the Oak Island LSS if you don't already know about it is the way it sits on the lot. I think it sits sideways to probably accomodate this lot, and we're generally accustomed to looking for what would be the side view.

Here's one of my shots taken from the back as you enter from the beach. The lighthouse would be to the left.

Stephen notes on his web site that the east side used to face the beach and that's where the boat doors were then located.

Hope you guys get to go back to see it.

Judy
