There are several postings on this general forum that all relate back to how you can help in your own way to save a lighthouse. There is going to be a pin for sale for all wackos and profits will go towards a lighthouse restoration that will be voted on. There will be a different pin each year, so as any poster achieves wacko status, he/she will be eligible to buy that year's pin. The first pin will be a 2000 millineum pin. It will hopefully be an ongoing project. You all need to read the previous postings that describe in detail what is going on. We need wackos right now to make up a list of which lighthouses which are undergoing restoration you would like to put on the list for your eventual vote. Please go back to my posting "Make a list - who needs it most" and read the ground rules.

Everyone: please take time to read these previous posts which explain all about this important project. IF you read them in this following sequence, they will make more sense: "No automatic buzzer for wackodom"; "Calling all wackos"; "Wacko update". They are all here in this General Forum.

Newbies-- don't feel left out. Here is a goal to strive for -- get those 50 posts and enter wackodom and help save a lighthouse by buying a pin. These pins will be in the shape of the "lighthouse of the year" chosen to receive our wacko funds. You will be able to buy the pin of the year in which you become a wacko and then every pin after that. Pretty to wear, proud to show off wackodom, and collectible to strive for!!! Do come join the fun with a serious purpose. Spread the word please on your e-mails to HL friends, so that they will KNOW to come read these various postings. Thank you. Ladylighthkeeper Barbara.

The pin project is progressing nicely. I have heard from 38 wackos so far. Each wacko will be able to order two pins. That translates to a nice size donation for a lighthouse restoration project. It is great seeing the newbies posting so that they can achieve the magic 50 and wackodom. I will keep you posted on when the vote will take place to pick the lighthouse for the top contenders. You only have a short time left to add your nominees to the list. See posting titled "Make a list---which one needs it most?"
