I'm sitting here on the OBX, thinking of taking a trip to see some local Lifesaving Stations. The only one I have photos of is Wash Woods. I would like to see some of the others in the area, too.
I've looked over Stephen (BeachBum1616)'s site, the definitive OBX LSS source. However, I somehow remember there being some other LSS out here. We've got the Yukon, so we can go off-road.
Any ideas of the good ones to visit? I lifesaving station (new verb!) like I lighthouse - see every single one. I don't care if it's run down hiding in the woods. I want to see them all.
Any good ones you know?

Greg, Chicamacomico is right on the main road! Can't remember exactly where. We passed the sign before it registered mentally. This was late April 4years ago and I believe they had just opened. Hope this helps! Rick

Kill devil Hills LSS is just a couple of miles south of the Currituck beach Light. It sits right beside of NC 12 and houses a Realtor. Kitty Hawk LSS is on the beach road around mile marker 3 or 4, can't remember which, but it's in an area where the road has just been repaired, from the winter storms. Chicamacomico LSS is beside of the Osmosis water plant in Rodanthe or is it Salvo. The Oreagon Inlet LSS is at the southern end of the "Baum Brige."
