Pretty cool the CG was able to do all the work they did to preserve the historic station for future generations.

Very cool to hear! One day, when I make my return journey to the place that sprouted my lighthousing interests, St. Simon's Island, I'll visit the LSS.
I guess that I'll have to lay some special dirt or something at St. Simons that day...some historic thing....
