So, I'm reading the latest issue of Life Lines which is the quarterly newsletter for the USLSSHA and it mentions a LSS in Ocean City NJ that is trying to be preserved or shall I say rescued.
I'm guessing that this is a privately owned property.
I not able to find any info on this LSS...has noone ever researched its history?
I guess if it is privately owned...it cannot be visited. But one could make the argument that its history still is alive if the building hasn't vanished, right?
It sounds like it might be located on 4th street...can anyone confirm this? If so, what cross street is it on? Ocean Ave?
I may try to visit this if I get to that area and maybe poke around for some past info but at least to just get a picture of it.

 I think Bob is talking about Ocean City, New Jersey. I'm unaware of any LSS in Ocean City, NJ. Could they mean the Ludlim (spell?) in Wildwood?

So I did make it to Ocean City NJ to check this place out.
It looks like it is for sale as there was a sign posted on the lawn. It is a 1882-type of station.

Thanks Eric! When mother nature gives me a day like this one and I've got a great new camera (NIKON D80) that takes AWESOME pictures...the two together don't get much better to get pics like these!

Yep, it is an 1882-type station, with some "modern" modification, of course.
