We have added some sunrise and sunset tours at the Fire Island Light. The next sunrise is Thanksgiving morning, with another on December 4. The next sunset is December 12. Tony Poldino and I will be the tour guides for these.
Former Fire Island keeper (1948-54) Gottfried Mahler and I will be giving a Flying Santa program at Fire Island on December 11. Gottfried was the keeper in 1953 when Ed Snow "dropped by." On that particular trip, on the 50th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first flight, Snow also flew out to the west coast.

If you plan on visiting Fire Island, contact me and I'll see if the shcedule allows for me to meet you there and give a personal tour (it gets me away from the computer for a bit)

The Lunar Eclipse... Yes, I believe so, but I don't have any info, other than it being a free event. I doubt I'll be there (stuff to do).
