OPEN HOUSE AT PORTSMOUTH HARBOR LIGHTHOUSE

Sunday, July 24th

The public is invited to tour Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse in New
Castle, NH, on Sunday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can
climb to the top of the tower (44 steps and a short ladder) for a
spectacular view and a close look at the lens. There is a suggested
donation of $2 for adults and $1 for children. Flat shoes are
required. Children under 42 inches tall are not permitted to climb to
the top, and adults are not permitted to carry children up the stairs.

As usual, though heading south this time, the open house, like in Sept., is a weekend before we leave for vacation, and in Sept., we're heading that way (though it wouldn't be a Sunday then either, but the Thu. after.). Bad timing, but at least we'll see it hopefully.
