It's a year since we were told that the lightship could not participate 'officially' in the LI Lighthouse Challenge because of insurance, town, and political problems, etc. And here we are a year latter... :rolleyes: Newsday April 17th :rolleyes: You can still see it at the Town harbour! Doesn't present a good image for the beleagured National LH Museum. Sounds like part of the Oyster Bay players are OK with the presence, some are not. Interesting if the museum has no insurance on the ship.
The whole situation begs the question: "Is it time to put an end to the national LH museum attempt?" All the high hopes and massive amounts of money that have been put into the project and it appears to have gone nowhere......
