As I write this, the History Channel is showing an episode of Modern Marvels that deals with ice breaking. The show starts off with the Big Mac and. Not a brand new show, but it is fairly new since it does show the launch of the Baby Mac. Does a real nice job showing the underside of the Baby Mac and showing how some of the innovations will help it break ice.
Other interesting parts of the show include a discussion of the history of ice breaking and also some footage of the
USCGC HEALY in action.
All in all a very interesting show, giving you history of ice breaking, an insight into how it is done and some good footage of ice breaking in action.
The History Channel web site says it will be on again tonight at 7 PM, presumably Eastern time.
