Nope. The extra load will be covered by the new mackinaw 30. Talk is that the Acacia is to be sold off to a foreign country. There is also talk of it being cut up for scrap or used as a breakwall. Unless some money shows up in the next month I would say the Acacia's future will regretfully be the scrapyard. So far there has been absolutely no talk of anyone wishing to save her as a museum, etc..

Great for all the Coasties who served on the Acacia. I remember her well as a resident of Port Huron where the Buoy Tender was stationed for many years.

Someday we'll see her again at Navy Pier.
