There is a commemorative coin available for the new USCGC Mackinaw.

The design is as follows:

Approx. size of a half dollar.

Front design states: USCGC Mackinaw, WLBB30, with picture of the new cutter.

Back side of coin: City of Cheboygan, with picture of Cheboygan lighthouse. Arrival date of the cutter.

Each coin is $7.00, which consists of the ($5.00) coin, (monies from the sale of the coins goes to the Coast Guard Morale fund) shipping and materials costs to me and to you.

Paypal payment of $7.00 is acceptable (no credit card payment), or a personal check.

Speaking with the group involved with this coin, the coins are selling rapidly, and expect to sell out before the actual arrival of the Mackinaw this Saturday 12/17/05.

Judy was going to get a coin for me and she told me that you told her only one per person. So, can I still get a coin or is it too late?

The first batch of Mac coins I received (before Christmas) have been paid for, mailed out and received by the collectors. I was lucky to be able to order additional coins, and at this time all of the coins have been spoken for, and that is why I told Judy that I could get her one, (she is getting the LAST one that I have on order from the second order), and if there was a chance that I can get more from the second order, than I would secure another coin for her (for you Suzanne, I am assuming).


The group ordered a second shipment of these neat Mac coins due to demand, and once the second order is gone, there will be no more.

The end of January (approx.) was given for the second order of coins to be delivered.

So the waiting continues . . . . .
