NICE LOOKING! It appears the hull is the same brushed look aluminum as the 47' MLB. The 41' UTB was starting to show it's age, but, will still probably be around for another 10 years before a full replacement program can be completed.

Looks good.
Just an FYI, the picture is not of the Little Creek area (which is on the Chesapeake Bay with no mountains in sight).

The 45-foot Response Boat-Medium looks cool. I'm already thinking AB replica. Nice if it could include the helicopter. Maybe even a troubled ship?

If'n I was a betting man, I would say that is Mt. Rainier, and the photo was taken on Puget Sound

Some interesting videos and other info on this page . This new boat should prove very useful and effective for the CG. Being a water jet provides all sorts of interesting capabilities. I recall the Navy's PBR which was also a jet boat. The boat only needed 6" of water when it was up on step at 35 knots, and could stop or do a 180 in its own length as I recall. Some wild boats, especially if you were in the forward gun tub. These new CG Response Boat - Medium would be able to do similar stunts I would think. And, they are fast. Looks like a great new asset for the CG. I look forward to seeing one in person. From reading the stories I found on the CG website, they did a really fast procurment process - very impressive how they are approaching small boat buys across the entire DHS.
