It's been a little over a year since the Mackinaw 83 was decommissioned (June 10, 2006). The cutter was then moved to Mackinaw City to become a museum. On June 21, the Mackinaw Maritime Museum celebrated its first annual tribute to the ship's final voyage. Icebreaker Mackinaw history preserved Judy

We were there in October. I got to take pictures of the ship, but alas could not tour it.
Would have loved to do that! It's on my list of things to do when we return.
