I would like to expand on my above reply regarding GLOWs. Many collectors find it necessary to purchase GLOWs because they want a particular lighthouse in their collection and they feel they will not be able to afford buying that light as a limited edition, if they can find one for sale.
Limited editions and GLOWs are made of the same material and painted in the same manner. GLOWs are wonderful sculptures and definitely filled many a void in my display until I could locate the limited edition at the price I wanted to pay.
Now that I have a complete collection of limited editions, minus Coquille River, I don't feel the need to purchase GLOW versions of lights I already have. Like many of my fellow collectors, I'm running out of display room and storage space. I have no desire to turn the inside of my home into a replica of a gift shop. Only around one-third of my collection is on display. The other two-thirds are in their boxes in my cellar.
Then comes the duplicates I've been buying because I just can resist a deal on Harbour Lights. I don't buy them because I need them. It's my hope to resell them at a later date and make a couple of bucks.
My view is if a GLOW makes you smile, buy it! Collecting is suppose to be fun. It is suppose to make you feel good.
