There has been a discussion going on in the Wishes Forum concerning lightning rods being added to a small number of the new LE lighthouses, what that number should be and should they only go to autoship dealers. Let's hear your vote on this subject.

Very interesting results so far, Rich! I'm not on autoship and probably wouldn't get an Le with a lightning rod unless one could get them by ordering early. I wonder if anyone knows how many collectors are on autoship. I Like the idea of lightning rods, but I am not sure how they would be distributed which would be the hard thing to figure out, I believe.
Oh well, if they start making them with lightning rods, I'll just have to do my best to locate one if my dealer can't order one for me.

See my post linked above. This isn't gonna happen so long as a potential lawsuit exists.
Maybe you could be required to sign a waiver before receiving your lightning rod piece and accept any responsibility for injuries to others who might handle your piece. (Just kidding, ain't gonna happen.)
-----------------------------------------
Now let's understand the difference between a DEALER autoship and a COLLECTOR autoship.
A DEALER can sign up to receive 2-3 pieces of every item HL produces (some may receive more). This assures them they get regular new product to sell and in SOME cases that they receive the same number pieces each time -- but not in every case. Some large volume dealers may get several auto-ships with only some of those being consistent numbers.
IF a dealer gets autoship pieces, especially a low number (2 digits or low 3 digits), then that dealer MAY offer to individual collectors the ability to purchase the same number each time.
If that dealer gets a few low 2 digit pieces, then this is a win-win situation for the dealer and individual collectors.
