While on vacation in Mackinaw City, Mi a few weeks ago, I learned about the new lighthouse museum to be built there. It is to be opened in 2002 and will have 53,000 sq. ft. of display area. I think it will have information about all lighthouses not just those on the Great Lakes.
There is a company selling Great Lakes lighthouse trading cards and promising to donate part of the money from the sales of the cards to the museum. The company name is Wild Hare Marketing, Inc. Their web site is -

It is a somewhat interesting site with information about the cards and museum.
The trading cards are very nice with a color photo of the featured lighthouse and a brief history of the lighthouse. There are also nice maps to go with the different sets of cards which show where the lights are. I can give more information to anybody who is interested.
