I just wondered how many people from the Forums
are going to the Reunion at Mackinaw Island?
Also who is going on the bus tour from Chicago to Mackinaw?

Bill and I are going. We are doing the WILD cruise and the two one-day trips but not the bus tour. We hope to meet lots of Forum folks at the Reunion.

I'll be there and am also doing the Chicago bus trip. I am also trying to schedule a couple days prior to bus trip to rent a car and see a few more lights in the area. Have never seen any of the lights in this area so am looking forward to the trip.

I'll be at the Reunion w/a friend.

Pam and I will be there. We're making a two week vacation of it going up the east coast of Michigan and into the U.P. Both of us are really looking forward to it. My only regret is that I won't be able to put my beer drinking to the test against Mombo.

The Brady's are going on the WILD Boat Trip and will be there waiting on everybody at the Reunion..

And Rock you will be with a lot of friends at the Reunion!!

i will be there. No bus trip or Wild trip though. But I am going on the 2 GLLKA sponsored day trips.

Elizabeth and I will be at the reunion. We aren't doing the bus trip and I'm clueless about the Wild Boat trip???

This trip will leave from Houghton, Michigan aboard the Keweenaw Star on August 24, 2005. We will dock and stay overnight in Duluth on August 24, dock and stay overnight in Silver Bay on August 25, and return to Houghton on August 26. Group hotel arrangements will be made, but hotels are not included in price below. Information regarding group rates at hotels will be on a separate flyer. We will take a bus to Split Rock from Silver Bay. Because of the length of the boat trip, we strongly discourage children under the age of 14.

COST: (prices do not include hotel)

$375.00 per person for boat trips and meals aboard boat for non-WILD members.

$350.00 per person for boat trips and meals aboard boat for WILD members

DEPOSIT: Minimum deposit of $100.00 per person to hold your reservation.

Robert and I will be going, also doing the WILD cruise. Another couple will be joining us at the reunion, maybe they will get hooked on the group and become WACKOS.

The Walsh clan, all 4, will be heading out on Saturday the 27th, with a little lighthouseing on the eastern shores of Michigan beforehand.

Don't ask me how we're going to get our load of supplies (crib, strollers etc) over on the ferry but we'll make it.

John and I will be flying in Friday night the 26th. We plan on touring the eastern MI lights on our way to the reunion.

MaryAnn and I are coming in Saturday morning to Chicago heading east on the way in.

Norma and I will be at the reunion. We aren't doing the bus trip but are staying a few extra days in Mackinaw City. Hope to meet a lot of y'all there.

Linda and I will be at the reunion. We are driving out from Denver. We plan to visit lights on our own before and after the reunion.

Joe and I will be there. No bus trip and no wild trip. But we will see as many lights as we can on one side of the lake going up and the other side coming back.

I, too, wish I could come. However, as some of you may not know, we are happily expecting a little boy by scheduled C-section on August 5 and will also be moving into our new house we are currently building within that time period. I sure do wish I could make it on either the WILD boat trip or the Reunion. You guys better post lots of images!

Doyne & I will be at the reunion, but sad to say not on the WILD boat trip. Just can't be gone that long when you have your own business. Sounds like we will have a lot of catching up to do once we arrive. Since, we depart on Thursday, we are thinking of taking our time on the way home to see some lights.

Jeff and I will be going to the reunion. We won't be able to make the boat trip due to work constraints. Since this reunion is in our own back yard we will look forward to seeing everyone up north.

Carol & I will be attending the Reunion and will take the precedent WILD-sponsored cruise to the Apostle Islands and other points west. Will check into Mission Point on Sunday to get settled in and possibly help with Reunion setups. Looking forward to it ..... hope the organizers have put in their orders for outstanding weather!!

MJ and I are looking forward to seeing everyone on the bus trip from Chicago up the west coast of the lake to the reunion, all who attend the reunion, and the return bus trip to Chocago down the east coast. Many lighthouses, many friends and memories.

Unfortunately, we are not able to do the Apostle Islands trip. I look forward to seeing pictures posted by all who attend all three of these events.

Unfortunately, I will not be there. The reasons:

a) It would be too expensive for the four of us to go, especially with the trek across the country to Michigan

b) My parents seem to have enough on their hands dealing with me talking about lighthouses all the time, if they were around 100 other like-minded people, I think that they'd jump off the island

and

c) We're going to the Outer Banks, as we do every year, and we don't want to pass up on our family tradition.

Perhaps the next time, it will be closer to NJ, or I could drive there alone (2008 and afterwards). I'm sure you'll see me at a reunion one day, just not this time.

We can't come either. It is just too hard and expensive to get insurance. can't do that too often. So when we can we need to visit familiy in CA.
But I am green with envy :rolleyes: ... especially thinking of teh WILD tour... :p

The powers that be are up at Mackinac Island right now checking things out. At least Kim, Rachel, and Dave are there. I imagine Patty Kaiser is also 'boots on the island'.

They are having bad weather, so it will be just perfect when we all get there.

I am heading over to the reunion via the Manitowoc, WI/Ludington, MI ferry. Is there anyone in the WI area that would like to hitch a ride with me? I will also be going to the two GLLKA tours. If you are interested let me know, I am located about 20 miles north of Milwaukee. It will be wonderful to meet so many other Lighthouse lovers!
