Well the bus bound brigade got under way today. We visited 5 lights. Big Red in Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon Pier, White River, and Little Sable. Big Red, Grand Haven, White River, Little Sable, to fix the images..

Eric. Did anyone see or hear the ghost at White River? Did they even mention the story? Pretty spooky even for a gravedigger!!

Sorry for not updating this, but the minute I got home from the reunion, I packed my bags and left on a 4 day bussiness trip. I will try to get more of the lights we visited posted today or Monday.

Nice pictures, Eric! I especially like the White River...not sure why. They're all great, though!
Thanks for sharing!

Ok sorry for the delay but here is Day 2 of the bus trip. Our first visit of the day was Ludington Pier; we arrived just in time to catch the SS Badger as she sailed for Manitowoc. Our second stop was more fun. Fun in a way only a 3-mile hike can be Our third stop for the day was Manistee Pier. The bravest or maybe the craziest of the group climbed up onto the broken stairs leading to the catwalk. Our next stop was a quick jump out and shoot before the bus gets towed for double parking in Frankfort. Back onto the bus before the traffic cops show up and off we go to Pt. Betsie. This light is being refurbished. Bet she will look nice in a few more months. And finally our last stop for day 2 Grand Traverse. One beautiful looking lighthouse.

Barry Thanks Barry, I liked that shot because it gives a more winter feel to the light. A lot of my other shots are full of green, but that one view changed the whole feeling of the light. BTW I go by either Eric or Weasel. Sometimes I even answer my cell phone when I know it's one of my old friends with "Wild Weasels of Doom, this is agent 58 speaking how may we assist your apocalypse?”

Love your pictures Eric...We were going to do Pt. Betsie (one of my favorites) but when we heard she was being worked on we chose not to go there. It's good to see what they are doing though. It was also good seeing you on our trip.

Once again, Eric, great composition and pics! Many folks, like myself, really enjoy the various pics of the lights we haven't been able to visit in our travels. Anyone who knows the work that goes behind the scenes to get to a location, to have the right conditions, to get some great pics, to download them to the computer, to set them up in a storage spot, and then to post them at the CF, really appreciates the time our photo people go through to add to what the CF is all about. Thanks again for sharing! Bob

Wow! I had no idea that they had gotten that far with Betsie. I can't wait to get up there and shoot her when she's done. It will be cool to see the before and after shots. Did they give an estimated completion date?
