Continued From WILD to MACK... Road to the Island Part II
Day Five


Everyone gathering at the ship to head out of Duluth..


The crew of the Keweenaw Star..


The drawbridge begins to raise to let us out of the inner harbor..


First lights of the day the Duluth Harbor lighthouses;;

Next stop Two Harbors...

Last and of course not least Split Rock both from the boat and then by bus we visited the grand old lighthouse of Superior...

Day Six


Heading back to the Marina at Silver Bay, MN to board the Keweenaw star for the trip back to the home port of Houghton, MI...


If it had to rain on one of the three days, this was the day... We had just two outer Island of the Apostles and their lights to visit.. First up Devils Island..


Thank goodness for Photoshop on days like this..

Next Island.. Outer Island Lighthouse..

The Captain brought us in as close as the reef under the water would permit..


Back to the Keweenaw upper entrance light and the waterway to Houghton..
