I end up with lots of time to kill in Manitowoc, Wisconsin from time to time waiting for the SS Badger, the Lake Michigan Car Ferry, to sail back to Ludington. As a result, I had plenty of photos to build a Manitowoc lighthouse photo gallery that was just uploaded at the following URL:

I hope everyone here from lighthousekeepers enjoys the photos in the new gallery. The banner photo shown below is one that I was pretty happy with. I wanted a "full moon night" photo of the lighthouse. What to do when there isn't a full moon? I cheated, taking advantage of reciprocity failure that you can also get when you use extremely short shutter speeds with high speed film. Normally, I exploit reciprocity failure in my photographic work in low light conditions with extremely long exposures, so this one was a first for me! Let me know how you think I did in terms of generating a photo that looks like it was shoot on a full moon night.

Looks like a full moon to me, Gary! I think you did great (as usual)!

It does look like a full moon shot, but I think there's a bit too much light coming off of the water, and it's too evenly spread out. I think it's a great shot though, it gives a lonely, serene feel.

I always wondered where Manitowoc was, I have been working on Manitowoc ice machines for years.
