Here are some of my pictures from our trip up to and around Mackinaw city and Island from a couple weeks ago.
A stop at White River since the last time I stoped it was overcast


Next stop was at the Manistee light


Then on up and around Mackinaw,
Round Island Lighthouse


Old Mackinaw Point with the moon rising just as the sun was setting


The Round Island Passage Light the following night from Mackinac Island, same deal sun setting and moon rising as a tug boat was towing a barge past the light.

Just trying a night star picture at McGulpin's point after sunset, 5 minute exposure.

When you stopped at White River, did you have a chance to talk to the woman who runs the place? She is an endless source of information, and her enthusiasm & love for her job are VERY apparent.

Kent, It was late Sunday afternoon and the lighthouse was closed all ready, so I didn't get a chance to talk to her.

And Ruthie, I think that the Round Island is probably my favorite out of that bunch too, Thanks

Here's another picture I got while heading north, It wasn't anything special, I was taking afternoon pictures of a lighthouse that needs to be photographed in the morning for daylight shots. But after I blew it up I saw something I didn't see at the time I took it.
