A photography friend of mine that I shoot with when I go to California, Bill Taylor, has joined the forums as of last night or early this morning, depending on how one wants to keep track of their days. Welcome, Bill!!! I know you've got good lighthouse and California coast photos to share and tips that folks can use, so let's hear from you!

Bill also played tour guide in the SF Bay area when Terry Forrest was out there earlier this month, and I know that Terry has one good photo of Bill in action with his camera as that photo has been posted on one of the photography websites already. Care to share it with us here, Terry???

Welcome Bill, glad to see you here. How did the sunset shots you took in April at Pt. Sur turn out ? I am still working to get mine into acceptable digital format. Once I do that I will post a few here. Hope to see some of your work here soon.

Okay, here's the photo of Bill Gary is talking about. It's been posted to www.photoblink.com and did very well (about 8.5 out of 10 points I think) and also to www.shuttercity.com. It's by no means the only photo I got of him, but it is the only one I've scanned so far.

I think you got better color than I did at Pt Sur, Bill. NIce shot! I was zoomed in much more tightly on the lantern room there and probably should have shot wider to get more of the light from the sun when we could see it before it dipped into the marine layer. Oh well, maybe next time... Good shot of Bill, that you posted too, Terry! I guess I'll have to get some of my slides of Bill and Sherman from Point Bonita scanned so I can post some of them her.
