Thursday was a nice day, so I went over to Warwick RI to Conimicut Point and got this picture of the Conimicut Light. Thought I'd share it with you. If your in the area its a great place to pick up shells. A Long point of land extends out towards the Light at low tide and I was able to get quite a few scallop shells. It's one place where I can always find them.

Looks almost like they borrowed the plans for the lighthouse that they built at Harbor Beach, Michigan, Bert. Nice shot!!!

That particular style can be seen in lots of places. We've got quite a few of that design up and down the coast of New England. Same style, but each of them have their own uniqueness. Something that I love about lighthouses.

Hey Bert, ...Never mind empty scallop shells, you should have been after the full shells. Nice pic of Conimicut. All my photos of that light are from the channel side.

Water was a little too cold to go out for the full shells. It's amazing the comback that Scallops have done in RI waters. I'm sure you've got some great shots from the channel side, and I'm sure you must have some close-ups. Having a boat certainly helps getting pictures from close-up, and out to the islands and so on. THis is what makes things interesting. We get pictures from different perspectives. I enjoy taking pictures and seeing other people's pictures from their point of view. I've been seeing some nice pictures on the forums lately and it's so nice to see lights from wherever. Makes me want to share what few pictures I have from this area.
