Let's see some lighthouse shots of spring! Can be flowers, a pretty sunset, or whatever makes you think of spring! I got the winter blahs and I need a pick-me-up! I'll start - Point Betsie, Michigan, taken June 1, 2004 with lilacs in full bloom.

No lighthouse here Jen, but this picture of my flowering crab tree from a couple years ago reminds me of spring!

This picture of Big Bay lighthouse in Michigan was taken after the WILD boat tour on Lake Superior in Aug. 2004.

This is on the grounds of the Currituck Lighthouse showing a bit of the Victorian Keeper's dwelling.

After 17 inches of snow this weekend, I could certainly use a few more spring photos!!!!

These came from my trip last fall to Hawaii

Ah, come on, you mean you didn't enjoy having real snow, at last?! Your flowers are very pretty, Shirin. We just had the coldest weekend this winter - in the 30's last night and 50's during the day. I'd love to have a bit of winter down here.

Miniature Iris - taken just this morning in our garden ...

I thought I had better take the picture, before the weather turns nasty... they forecast that we are about to get the storms that caused the snow falls in NY and NJ ... frown

No Grace, I can honestly say that I do not enjoy the snow. Thankfully I didn't not have to venture out in it until I had to go to work yesterday morning. I was very fortunate that my boyfriend was more than willing to do all the shoveling and cleaning off of the cars this weekend. laugh

I have a similar plant, if not the exact same thing. None of my specimens has ever bloomed - yours is pretty cool, Sunshine. Shirin, one of my daughters lives within walking distance of Central Park - haven't heard from her, now that I think of it!!

Well Grace, I hope your daughter is not still digging out! Things were happily melting away around here yesterday. I'm looking forward to a lot more melting for the remainder of the week with our 40-50 degree temps they are calling for until the weekend. I just didn't care for the forcast of another storm next Tuesday. I'm gonna need all those Spring type photos for sure!

Talk about crazy Michigan weather - we're under a winter storm watch tonight, 2-4 inches of snow, changing to freezing rain tomorrow morning, back to snow, and a possible THUNDERSTORM tomorrow afternoon! You heard right, THUNDERSTORM!!

Jen, I saw the forecast; it is C-R-A-A-Z-Y!!I set a weather alert so I could monitor the weather in Michigan prior to the reunion. I kept it so that I could see what you all are going through this winter. Pretty incredible - especially when our days down here are sunfilled. Today, it did threaten to rain but nothing happened. Stay warm!

I found this photo while scanning through some pictures that I took on my drive from Duluth, MN to Houghton, MI the end of July, 2004.

This is the Wisconsin Point or also called the Superior Entry South Breakwater lighthouse.
