Last Sunday was a pretty day here in NC, so on our way to Ocracoke, we made a brief stop in at the Roanoke Marshes Replica. We usually see this light in the morning as we leave the OBX, but this time we were able to take some afternoon photos.

Here is a typical view but with a bit of reflection.


Trying to get a little something different, I laid down on the board walk to frame the light between theses two pilings. I was happy with the way it came out.



I mentioned that I would have like to take a pilings shot and Christina spotted these reflecting in the water.


Finally (for now) here is one a gull pearched atop a piling.

Looks like it was a pretty day.

Excellent pictures. Makes me want to remove the cover from the RV and travel to the Outer Banks. Love both Capes, but Hatteras is my favorite. Thanks for the tug of my heart.

Stephen, as usual your shots are beautiful. The one of the light between the pilings is especially good. I'll be heading down that way in June - can't wait.
