POINT SUR, CALIFORNIA
In addition to the other photo shoots that I had while in California, another debt of gratitude is due Marguerite Moore and Nancy McDowell, two wonderful docents who escorted Chuck (aka Big Dragon) Bill Taylor, a photographer friend of mine from Sacremento, and me up to Point Sur one evening to photograph at sunset!
I'll post some of the images from that shoot here as I get them scanned. This first shot shows Chuck, caught in the act of photographing the lantern room.
A while back, someone asked if anyone had any views of the sides of Point Sur that you don't get to see. Happy to oblige, here a shot from the north looking back to the south.
Looking up toward the keeper's residences on the way up the road on the seaward side of the big hunk of rock...
Inside of the lighthouse, looking up the inside you get an interesting view of the spiral staircase with an ultrawide angle (14 mm) lens).
The winds were fierce that evening. This is a photo of Bill shooting back toward the coast highway.
Well, just looked at the time... about 1 AM and I'm calling it quits for the night. I'll add some additional photos to this thread a little later.
