I'm not 100% sure but I think your photo name needs an extension. ".jpg"

I tried it with the .jpg at the end, did you add the .jpg when you uploaded it?
If not try re-uploading it and put the .jpg at the end of the file name with no spaces in-between

Worked for me... Fran click on the edit icon for this post, copy the complete link then paste it into any future posts, just changing the actual image name.

John,

That's the trick I use to make sure I get it right.

I go back to a photo that I got right and just edit the name of the photo.

I got caught on some of the photos from this trip because they had the same exact name as ones I uploaded from 2 years ago. I had to go back and rename some with 05 in them to get the right ones in the posts.

Is there anyway for the confirmation e-mail from Dave to contain the actual file names?

I think that can be a big part of the problem when people try and put their photos in the posts.

That’s an excellent idea, Dennis. It would certainly help all of us.

Here’s another question along the same line. Can’t we do what Photo Stamps does? I’ve now ordered three sets of stamps. I just click on the photo and the software immediately resizes to fit their requirements and then shows the user what the stamp will look like. The software is free. Of course, the stamps are not.

This is what I need incorporated into the Forum! It’s completely idiot proof.

Have to include the "http://" and can't have any spaces at all from the very first [ to the last ] in your link. Dave

Bob,

Resizing your photos should be fairly easy.

I use a program called ACDSee and it's fairly easy. I alos have Photo shop but I only can mange to use just a small portion of that program.

I know some can work wonders with it.

The only way you can know the titles of the photos you upload on HL is to write them down and keep the list where you can find it- even 2 years later.

You left out the "http://" before the URL and again their are spaces after and before the [img] and [/img] tags.

Yes, the preview will show the image.
