Another beautiful picture, I really need to move out of the desert and move closer to the water. If I can figure out how to post pictures, I have some great ones from my trip to Cape Cod and Newport, RI!! smile

Looks like I didn't walk around enough when I was there. I didn't see this particular view. Is there a small hill off in the woods?

If you go around to the left rear of the new gift shop you will see a boardwalk leading back and up the hill. I never saw this the last time we were up, so perhaps it's new? A great view, however!

Bud & Bethany, the bird sancatuary, boardwalk and observation deck have been there since at least 89' or 90' when I first visited Whitefish. Not many people know the path is there and now that the new gift shop is there the path is slightly more hidden, In the spring time the path and observation deck are closed off during bird migration and mating season? If you happen to be there when a ship passes you can get a picture with the ship over the buildings. If I can dig my picture like that up I'll post it.

Not yet--- If I may clear this up, we were there for a week and our CABIN was a mere 10 miles away from Whitefish. We could see the beacon from waters edge, that was neat. smile
