Here is the first of 19 lighthouses I hit on this 11 day journey of the Pacific Northwest. More information about this light can be read at Lighthouse Friends.

A shot of the oil buildings.

Wide-angle from the front.

Coastline looking north.

Really great pictures Jen! Now that you've wet our appetites, I'm looking forward to seeing the others. That Pacific Coast is a relly beautiful place.

Neat pictures, Jen!

I especially like the first few, with the chain-link fence winding around. While ususally I consider chain-link fences and find them an ugly detriment to my photographs, the way they wind around the cliff actually adds to your photos instead of detracting. This is something I have rarely seen.

I also like the last few, with the lantern peeking over the dunes.

I'm liking this "teaser"...and know that there are 18 just as good to come! smile

Really Nice, Jen...

You had a little nicer day at North Head than we did in 2002..

In fact I think it was probably the worse conditions of our trip down the coast when we went there and Gray's Harbor..

Ahhh. This is only the start. I got Cape Disappointment with a passing rain shower (nice, dark, contrasty sky) and the sun on it and then a passing freighter coming in the mouth of the Columbia...and Gray's Harbor at sunset with some brilliantly lit pink clouds...

Thanks for the nice comments. I'll try and get some more up later tonight. I'm still recouping from a three hour time change and all that runnin'!

You got some great images there. I've been trying to get back up there for some time now. I'd like to catch it at sunset sometime.

For now I am getting ready for a 12 day trip to the SW again.
