maybe not much if it's in a snow storm. These are from Marblehead a few weeks ago, it was so bleak I thought I'd compare color to b&w to check out the differance. It was really blowing the snow horizontally in the b&w

The color pic makes it look cold, but the b&w gives a down-right bleak feeling.

Good one Larry!
I'd say the color shot gives slightly (not much) more contrast and the red trim on the light makes it slightly warmer, lol!

Thanks- this is the same shot with a better day-- In the background is Cedar Point across the Sandusky Bay. Sorry about the tilt of Marblehead, it wasn't a good day for me.

On your original two posts, Bud, I have to agree with Bob's comment, Bud, the color shot looks like a painting... wonderful candidate for a watercolor. Hey Digger??? The lean of Marblehead in your last post most likely doesn't have anything to do with you having a bad day. Rather it has a lot to do with using a short focal length lens and the way they tend to distort tall off center things like lighthouses in your image tending to make them look like they're leaning toward the center of the image. That can be fixed, if you really want to, using the perspective cropping tool in Photoshop.

Thanks, Gary- I wonder if I have that tool in my rather new Paint Shop Pro 7? I'll have to check it out. I could have gotten further back on the ice to take that shot, but I wasn't feeling that brave that morning, and I was by myself.Did I mention I wasn't feeling very brave?
