I know that I'm four months late, but I think that it was worth the wait! Besides, it's a great way to get in my 400th post! Thanks to Gary Martin for scanning the slides.
The first morning we went out was on Thursday, got up at 3:30, Gary was there to pick us up at 4:00.
We didn't see the sun, but I thought that it was the better of the two sunrises.
This one was taken as soon as we got there.
This is the South Channel Marker. I just loved how it seemed to float out there all by itself.
The Sturgeon Bay Canal Station, while it may not have the sun behind it, it was still pretty impressive with the fog rising from the Ship Canal, and storm clouds gathering behind.
On Friday morning, we saw the sun. So, after a nice nap on the pier (good thing Gary stayed awake, or Bryan and I would have missed it!)
The sun made for some great silhouettes.
This was one of the last photos I took of the pierhead light. I saw the clouds coming together, and the shadow the clouds cast over the sky was amazing.
Well, I hope that everyone enjoyed this as much as I did! As always, comments and suggestions are welcome!
