As you go north up the Lake Michigan shore from Manitowoc you encounter a couple of other interesting lights before you get to Door County.
The next light going north is the quaint little lighthouse at Two Rivers. The lighthouse sits right along the river near Hwy 42 and is now a part of a fishing museum.
I must admit that the first time I saw the light at Two Rivers was in the dark driving up the coast from Manitowoc to Algoma where I had reservations for the night - I came across on the evening trip on the Badger, which made port in Manitowoc somewhere near midnight. I didn't actually get around to driving back down to Two Rivers to see the light until a couple of days later when I combined a visit to it with a stop to photograph at Rawley's Point Light, which is the state park just north of Two Rivers. Rawley's point will be the next installment in what I hope will become a virtual photo tour guide for folks heading up to Door County in conjunction with Rosemont.
