Thanks for the information. I don't believe it finally got done. Just last summer when I was at Charlotte-Genesee the place was still torn up. Figures they would wait till I moved to start it!
Hopefully I will get back to Upstate NY to give it a try. And the whole time I lived there (18 years) I never got to Toronto

The Spirit of Ontario 1 is scheduled to begin making its 2hr 10min trip between Rochester and Toronto (several times a day) on May 1st. It reached a top speed of 47 knots (nearly 55 mph) during sea trials in Australia, making it the fastest vessel ever built by Austal Ltd. The ship is scheduled to set sail from Australia to Rochester in mid-February, taking about 35 days to make the trip.
