On the Tampa Bay Trip this past July, the afternoon we went to the Yaquina Head Light, it was encased in fog. While it made for a dramatic sight, you just can't beat a gorgeous day! After the visit, we decided that we would go back in the morning if the weather was clear. Needless to say, we ended up going back, and boy, what a clear day it was! I would post some of my color photos, but they are 12 hours away, so I have to work with what I have! laugh Anyway, so these are some of my digital black and whites, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This was on the foggy first visit. It was quite dramatic being there!

I tried finding the same place where I took the above photo when we came back, but I couldn't. This was about as close as I got to it!

As you can see, there were the perfect amount of clouds in the sky!

Oh, and if you ever get the chance to go to the tidepools at Yaquina Head, I highly recommend it! They are a fun and interesting place to look around, even if you're not that much of a nature person!

Very nice Jakers.

It's fun to play around with digital cameras. I always feel like I can take unlimited photos and just trash what I don't like. smile

So this is your first submission from Syracuse? Very interesting shots and angles. I'm glad you still dabbling in b/w, it's a lost art. Your last shot could be a 1950/60 Life Magazine cover.

I like the b&w shots! I've been playing around with that more myself lately. There is just a completely different feel to the pictures taken this way. Hopefully we'll see some more from you soon.
