My mom wants a new digital camera, as my brother broke her old one, previously mine. We are thinking of getting her one for her Bday (Dec. 7).
I've been looking at some basic, high-quality P&S cameras. My dad and I both have Canons, and they have done us well. We probably only need 3x zoom, and 2-3 MP. We don't want to spend a fortune, but we want quality.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Check this website out. It has really good reviews of cameras and gives prices. http://www.dpreview.com

Greg, check out the Canon A80 or A85. My in-laws have the A80 and if you poke around on eBay, I think you can get it for around $225. Nice little 4 pegapixel camera with a great lens and expanded features. Also, check out www.dpreview.com and over in the left hand column, there is an option to compare cameras. Excellent tool!
