After visiting Umpqua River lighthouse, I decided as far as I could get on Monday was Bandon Lighthouse (Coquille River Lighthouse). I skipped the state park and went right to town to have dinner at the Station Restaurant owned by HL dealer Martin Hauser.

It was lightly sprinkling and I simply rolled down the window and took a photo from inside the car:

After dinner, I headed across the mountains to I-5 and made my way to the location for my business meeting which was the purpose of my visit.

It's too bad you didn't get sun the rest of your short visit. But then again, sometimes the best shots are taken in the rain...that is a gorgeous capture with the waves on the rocks like that!! I think Oregon may have more non-sun days than Michigan...?

Very nice drive-by, John!

I enjoy seeing others pictures of lights I'll probably never see myself. Thanks.

John, thanks for the shots and the info- A friend of mine was in Oregon this summer and he brought information back for me about the Oregon lights. Looks like a great place to see!

What a great picture! We were also in Oregon this summer on a lghthouse trip. Started at Cape Disappointment in WA. Went down the Oregon coast and stayed overnight at Heceta Head. What a beautiful place to be. We didn't make it to Coquille. Time ran out!
Never saw a drop of rain either. Guess we were lucky.
