I have decided to declare tommorrow, 23 February, 2004 Boardwide Wacko History Day here on the Collector Forums. We have a multitude of posts here, and if you pick a forum, choose to view all topics, and pick a random page number, you can find all sorts of threads that you forgot about. There are gems in there, like the pre-move Hatteras debate or all the old Currituck stuff. NHLPA...new HL releases...the list goes on and on.

Here's what I want you to do for this day:

View some old topics in some of the forums

Start a new topic that has potential to be a great one

Bring back a topic you REALLY liked so that it can be shared with the new generation of Wackos

Start some conversations about the history of the forums and Wackos

If anyone has any other ideas, this could be a good time. John, maybe that rejuvination of old forums you were talking about could be good, even though it is a bit soon. And that collection of Wacko lingo and other stuff should be brought up. Perhaps someone could bring to the top the very first post. Or YOUR very first post, if you remember and it isn't too embarrasing. And the best--make a donation to the forum to keep it up and running.

Also, I declare every 23 February henceforth Wacko history day, for as long as the Collector Forums may live.

-Greg, President of the Non-Existent-as-of-yet Wacko History Day committee. smile

In recognition of this first annual Boardwide Wacko History Day, I've opened up all the past Forums on the various Reunions and Trade Shows.

You can use this link to view the Forum names:

http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/cgi-bin/forumscgi/ultimatebb.cgi?category=4

But you'll need to set the VIEW ALL POSTS rather than last 30 days since these old Forums are VERY dusty and fell off the 'radar' long, long ago.

Enjoy! Thanks, Sea Girt for a great idea. Set the 'Way Back Machine for 1998' and let's GO!

A nice innovative idea that the Forums has been desperately needing, Greg. And leave it to Saint John do jump in. I thought I was seeing things? LOL

What does what appears to be a note with a flower in the upper left corner of each subject mean? When I place my curser on it, it comes back with Icon 1, but clicking on doesn't do anything. Has it been there all along (can't believe I've just noticed it), or does it have something to do with the Boardwide Wacko History Day?
Thanks,
Sandy confused confused

These are very old posts and I think that the template that is used to create these threads in the old days was different. I think that post-it note and push pin (not flower) meant there were unread threads in that forum. Not sure though.
