This is the tale of a keeper's wife, Lida.
Who screamed each time she saw a spider.
Her house she kept apotless.
Squared away and never a mess.
And then she relaxed with a big glass of cider. vhappy

I guess that worked out well. I get to use the one I started yesterday when Kay & I closed the same limerick.

Here's my close for yesterdays:

This is a tale of a keeper's wife, Lida
Who screamed each time she saw a spider!
Her house she kept spotless,
Squared away and never a mess,
But the keeper wished she would be quieter.

And here's the one I tried to start:

I knew a collector from Toledo,

That was very gentlemanly of you, Lighthouse Loon. I saw that yesterday.

I had to laugh at that completed one I started with the first line...

This is a tale of a keeper's wife, Lida
Who screamed each time she saw a spider !
Her house she kept spotless,
Squared away and never a mess,
But the keeper wished she would be quieter .

Definitely some northern accents in play there! biglaugh

Not a creature stirs , not even the mice.

Not a creature stirs, not even the mice.
Sitting by the fire keeps us warm,
Safe inside, we weather the storm.
With a hot cup of tea with a little spice.

A friendly Keeper showed me the way,
With camera in hand
I stood in the sand,
As he told the stories of Point Reyes.

How many lightbulbs does one Keeper need,
To keep the beacon flashing a definite good deed,
And how many keepers does it take?

How many lightbulbs does one Keeper need,
To keep the beacon flashing a definite good deed,
And how many keepers does it take to change the bulbs?
So many bright questions for the Keepers of these bulbs,

Sorry Judy, I went back and edited my last line. There are no words that rhyme with "bulbs".

How many lightbulbs does one Keeper need,
To keep the beacon flashing a definite good deed,
And how many keepers does it take?
To light these beacons for the boats on the lake.

But I like my line. :p You must never have read any "Cat in the Hat".

How many lightbulbs does one Keeper need,
To keep the beacon flashing a definite good deed,
And how many keepers does it take?
To light these beacons for the boats on the lake.
So many light questions for keepers to heed.
