We've done these before. Each person adds a line, repeating the previous lines while adding their next one. Limit one line per person per day.

Fun stuff...I'll give it a try.

There was a tall beacon in Maine
to which a Foundation laid claim
It had weathered many a storm

If I'm correct the 5th line should ryhme with the first two.

So here goes it:

There was a beacon in Maine
to which a Foundation laid claim
It had weathered many a storm
while the keeper inside stayed alert, dry and warm
As another ship arrives in the harbour from Spain.

I guess I understood the rules wrong. I thought it was only one line per person per limerick. Didn't want to hog too many lines as well.

This ain't the scramble where he who solves, in this case, finishes goes next. eek

Anybody can go next or start I'd think as long as they go by the rule?

I don't know, but I've been told
Portland Headlight has been sold.
Oh no! that cannot be.
Would be too high a fee!

Thought I'd take the last Limerick off. Not bad at all, the second lines a stretch. But hey, where just amateurs at this. Here goes:

I took a tour of Split Rock,

On the door I did knock,
And to my surprise, who did appear?
