I thought we needed to split the time line, it is getting a bit big...
So here is the continuation from Pt. I

And because things have been quiet here and I have a real differnt lighthouse to show, I will break the rooles again and enter a second light today:
Lighthouse Mellumplate is a little light in the German North Sea. It has been "ready for service" since 1943, but is only shown on demand.

Picture of Lh Mellumplate

and the data , but only in German ... sorry.

I'm interjecting here, again. Glad you broke the rules, Margret. That is a very interesting lighthouse - many non-US lighthouses are s-o-o-o unusual!

The lightship Weser is now a fish restaurant in Wilhelmshaven in Germany. In 1945 she finished her war service, seconded to the war time German navy, as light ship "H" on the station of Elbe II and now was deployed to station Elbe I

There is a German page about it on Iris' pages:
Feuerschiff Weser

OOOPPPSSS .... sorry I missed out 1944 ... anyone else want to take that?
