Happy Christmas to all CF Friends!

I wonder how many of us found lighthouse presents under the tree... appart from the obvious HLs that is.

We got a couple... like this tile...

It was handmade in California... so which LH is it ... Old Point Loma?

And what did you get?

Margret,

Nothing here yet- it's still christmas Eve and gifts are opened on christmas Day in my house.

I'd say going by the way it looks that the LH in question is Point Pinos.

There are several in CA built on the same plans but Point Pinos has that window area over the front door like in your item.

Here's a link to a photo-

Here's a link for Old Point loma which looks a bit different-

Hope this helps.

Happy Christmas to you, too, Margret. It's a lovely tile. At my house, we normally open one or two presents on Christmas Eve and wait until Christmas Day to open the rest. This year, we will open a couple on Christmas Day and wait until New Year's to open the rest - that's because my grandson will be driving here on Dec. 29. He and his parents went to New York to spend Christmas with another one of my daughters. Since he loves having Christmas at my house, we decided to wait until he is able to be with us.

So far "Christmas Eve", I received a really nice Lighthouse Lap Blanket from a cousin.

And I gave my Sister a Harbour Light Fort Jefferson LE.

Sorry if I was too keen... in our house we do the presents the German way. At home we used to go to church at 4PM on Christmas Eve, then come home, have our meal (salad made with Hering and beet root etc.) and then have a little procession into the Christmas room - our living room - where my parents had put up the tree. We each (me, my brother and two sisters) had our own table with presents, but initially they were covered with a cloth. Because first we had to - impatiently - go through the ritual... one of us would read the Christmas Story from the Bible. Another would recite something, yet another play something on the flute, recorder, guitar, piano or what ever there was fashion in the family at the time. And only when all that was done Mama would remove the covers from the tables and we could have our presents.
It was wonderful! And when we spend Christmas with my parents, we still do it that way!
But today WE put up the tree and the tables.

Hope you all have as wonderful a Christmas as that!

Not much lighthouse stuff this year...I have pretty much everything I want. There were a few small things - two ornaments from my brother, and quite a few calendars. My grandma also gave me a Spoontiques of Sentinel Island, AK Light (she was there a few months ago). Okay, okay...it's Spoontiques...but it's cute stil. wink

I got more other stuff this year...finished off my Friends DVD collection, got a bunch of books I wanted, and got an iPod (which I still can't get to program, since my USB ports are malfunctioning). I did forget to put the new edition of Kenneth Kochel's book on my list, though...maybe for my birthday (28 January).

I had ask for a Cape Charles LE but I guess SANTA thought otherwise (maybe for Birthday?). However, did get 10 Little Light of Mine (we get one for every lighthouse we visit and we had a lighthouse trip last Fall so this helped a lot).
Also got a very nice lighthouse calendar. But most important family and friends are in good health.
