I am a recent recipient of my 1st HL Lighthouse. In the catalogue there are several lighthouses labelled "revised edition". What exactly does this mean, are these different from the original, if so how?

I moved your post from the PLAY ROOM Forum.

Welcome 'Sis' - Glad you joined us in the forums.

The 'revised' refers to several of the GLOW (Great Lighthouses of the World) series. These are 'open-editions' meaning they are not limited.

Harbour Lights wasn't happy with the look of some of the sculptures when they came out and went back and resculpted them. The ones available now are 'revised' from the original.

Most of these revisions (maybe all) were made in 1997. If you go to the 1997 Catalog page at www.harbourlights.com/catalog/1997/ and scroll down, you'll see links to Portland Head, Southeast Block Island, and Boston Harbor. Click on the SE Block Island link and scroll down and you'll see some comparison shots that show the original version and the revised version as well as the limited edition.

Sorry the other two don't show the comparison shots. My fault.

Welcome to the forums Sis. It's nice to see another charter member of the Eastern Great Lakes Harbour Lights Collectors Club join us online too.

"Thanks for the help! One more question..for today anyhow.. Harbour Lights has a central location in El Cajon California. I plan to be in CA. during Feb. Is the site in El Cajon a place for tourists, or an office facility only?

It's an office/warehouse facility. No real accomodations for visitors. It's located at the edge of the downtown El Cajon area.
