.............. Today starts the 2002 season of the Name The Flame Game (A.K.A. NTFG). Let's spread the word and try to increse the participation. Also any suggestions are welcomed. There will be games just for Newbies, first time participants as well as the "experts". Here’s a brief list of guidelines that will be used. 1. Every Thursday (usually in the pm EST) a new light will be presented, barring problems. 2. The light may be from anywhere in the world. 3. Request that we limit guesses to 1/person/day 4. A hint may be provided every day starting on the 2nd day. 5.I will keep/post the running scores, scoring will be by points assigned for difficulty (1-5). 6. Post your guesses to this thread. 7. Your input (please!) with photos ENCOURAGED and appreciated, acknowledged when used. 8. Rate this a 3. CLick here to download the puzzle; 2002NTFG27 Once you have downloaded the game, just doubleclick on the exe file and start the STANDALONE VERSION. Remember, that solving the puzzle isn't by any means the end - you've got to use the completed puzzle as clues to figure which LH it is. But of course, you can't win the game until you solve the jigsaw puzzle. Right click on puzzle pieces to rotate them. Move them together and if you are right, they will stick together. ------------------ [This message has been edited by pharologst (edited 01-10-2002).]

The first order lens resides in a building on the grounds of Ponce Inlet Light's museum, but lens itself was from the Cape Canaveral light.
So, my answer is... Ponce Inlet and Cape Canaveral!
A wonderful lighthouse and museum to visit!! ------------------ Diane

Standing in the lantern room of Cape Canaveral lighthouse last week, the folks with me were discussing this very lens and altho' it looks great at the Ponce Museum, it would look even better if it was back in the Cape Canveral lantern room.

Sorry Ladybug , you only got 1/3 of the answer. Diane gets the points since the Cape Canaveral Fresnel lens (shown) is housed at the Ponce Inlet Light (shown) Current scoring is: Sweetpshirin - 3 DMancini - 3 ------------------ [This message has been edited by pharologst (edited 01-11-2002).]

Derith I heartily agree. Although the lens is one of the most beautiful , somehow it seems like a fish out of water and deserves to be back at the Cape. ------------------ [This message has been edited by pharologst (edited 01-11-2002).]

I have to admit that the addendum was a "gimme" since Ponce is my "home away from home" lighthouse! Didn't get to visit there in 2001, but hope to make it down there again this summer! ------------------ Diane
