Below is today's Light picture to be named.
Here’s a brief list of guidelines that will be used.
1. Every Thursday (usually after 6 pm EST) a new light will be presented, barring problems.
2. The light may be from anywhere in the world.
3. Request that we limit guesses to 1/person/day
4. A hint will be provided every day starting on the 2nd day.
5.I will keep/post the running scores if desired, scoring will be by points assigned for difficulty (1-5).
6. Post your guesses to this thread.
7. Your input with photos appreciated and acknowledged when used.
8. Rate this a 4.

Current scoring as of 10/10 is:
Derith - 14
sweetpshirin - 13
Mombo - 8
Oseabee - 5
Ladybug - 4
Gebbyk - 4
Jchidester - 4
T&J Abbot - 3
Chesapeake Byron – 2

I'm trying something new for this game, an interactive jigsaw puzzle. Saint John and I are posting the needed file here www.lighthousekeepers.com/games/NTFGame15.exe
, but may not have worked out the minor glitches yet. Once you have downloaded the file, all you have to do is double click on it to begin the STANDALONE version.
Those of you who have a problem with the download send me an email and I will forward the NTFG.EXE file as an email attachment to you. You will still post your guesses to this thread.

Also please let me know how you enjoyed this format and if I should continue it frequently.

Let me say that solving the puzzle isn't by any means the end of this one - you've got to use the completed puzzle as clues to figure which LH it is.

But of course, you can't win the game until you solve the puzzle.

Right click on puzzle pieces to rotate them. Move them together and if you are right, they will stick together.

Best bet is to choose the ".exe" version above.

SThompson - 5, are you trying to tell me you don't want me to play?

21 minutes, 28 seconds to descramble the puzzle. Now which one is it?

If you solved the jigsaw puzzle, you now only have to figure out which lighthouse the three pictures are associated with!!!

I predict that Derith will get passed in the scoring on this one!

Well that was fun but I don't know the lighthouse. If I solved the puzzle in less time than Sean can I steal one of his non-points?

Come on guys/gals. YOu mean I finally have one that lasts more than 8 hours!!!! If you've solved the jigsaw puzzle then you must become a detective and study the results of that jigsaw for clues.
HInt: the 3rd order fresnel was placed in position in 1857.
Are you enjoying this format??

I am loving this challenge! It is driving me insane and everyone at work can tell I am racking my brains for ideas. Can't wait until lunch when I can concentrate on it for an hour.

I forgot to mention solving the puzzle was fun. Took just over 9 minutes. Had no problems with the download.

We have Winners!!!

Tom & Joyce Abbott are correct with Amelia Island. Amelia is closed to the public as evidenced by the picture of the interior. The light flashes white in nearby Nassau Sound, while all others see Red flash.

THANKS to Derith Bennet for providing the photos!!.

Hope all had as much fun solving it as I did setting it up. Look for another version next week Thursday 10/18.

Current scoring as of 10/12 is:
Derith - 14
sweetpshirin - 13
Mombo - 8
T&J Abbott - 7
Oseabee - 5
Ladybug - 4
Gebbyk - 4
Jchidester - 4
Chesapeake Byron – 2

In looking at those stairs, I am reminded of the ones in Concord Point - I believe they are granite and self-supporting.

Did anyone get a shot of the Concord stairs?

John,

If no one else has them, I just happen to have some that I took about a month and half ago, but just got the prints back.

Looking up: http://members.home.net/nohe5/concordup.jpg

looking down: http://members.home.net/nohe5/concorddown.jpg

If you want better scans or actual prints, let me know.
