Are those steps cut into the stone? I think its Great Lakes, but I don't know which one... yet.

Don't think it was a stairway. It may have been a boat ramp, but the boathouse is on the other side of the lightstation.

I know this one too, but we are still on the road..

I have been looking at South Fox Island, but thats not it.

Did you go ashore, Eric or did you just see from the boat? Terry Pepper went to the light recently with a group of his friends.. He posted some really nice images of the event and that is where I recognized the boat house image from; his image of it..

I have yet to get out to it but apparently you can dock at the boat house now..

Paul, no we did not go ashore. I would love to visit this light and be able to walk around it.

Please post the link to Terry's visit after someone guesses the light.

I'll give a hint. It is a very hard to visit lighthouse. The only way to get there is by boat. Here is a picture of the whole island.

Cool picture! We couldn't get a plane on that end of the state. It was our first choice. I was just glad we didn't have to much fog to see it. Come...spit it out. I know you all knew it, probably from the first picture like Eric.

Can you imagine walking those stairs?

It has almost a metalic look. Many of the off shore lights seem almost unreal....
They are truly amazing. When I think of how and why they were built, and the things that have happened in these places I am fascinated.
