I didn't know until you showed the view from the top. I bet it was great staying there!
Since that lighthouse is reinforced concrete, I have the Harbour Lights model in my office. I really wish I could find out what size rebar they used for the verticals. I emailed the question to Point Arena site once. They must have thought I was strange...no answer.

Thank you Paul! The picture on page 3 shows the rebar in base around the tower. Looks like #8 (1 inch) spaced about 16 to 18 inches apart, each way. The tower itself would have the greatest stress, wonder what's in it? The article gives the name of the contractor, so I am going to try and ask them some questions. If I get answers I will report back. Thank you again.

The Poe Reef images were shot on a trip in the Fall of 2004 to get images to make the postcards for the 2005 Reunion..



Dave, Mike, Patty, Jeff, Mary, Sue and I went on a very cold boat trip on October 10th to get the images and preview some of the lights that we would be seeing on the Reunion trips..

I saw that light in 2001 and it took a while to remember where I was at the time.. The ship gave it away.. I will put a new mystery light up in a bit...
