This is all there is folks, this is the whole lighthouse and it's surrounding area..

While waiting for someone to name the light, I thought I would show how Hoosier Lighthousing Club member Kay, helped the Captain guide the ship into the slip to get the side views of the light..

They call her Betty! Or rather Bete Grise.

You got it!! It was a great visit to the light that day with a bunch of Wackos on board the Keweenaw Star..

That is a very pretty light! This next one is pretty also.

Conanicut Lighthouse

Thats correct. We saw this lighthouse, along with 15 others on a boat trip sponsored by NELL, Friends of Pomham Rocks, and Save the Bay. The narrator wanted to show everyone what this lighthouse looked like when it still had its lantern...so he pulled out that Harbour Lights model! I think he used 5 or 6 Harbour Lights on the trip. It was especially effective when we were looking at a foundation, like Bullocks Points or Mussell Bed Shoals.

You have been giving us a tour of Keweenaw Peninsula in Lake Superior. (the light slowly dawns :rolleyes: ) Manitou Island, MI The only remaining light similar to this one is Whitefish Point. I have got to get farther into the Great Lakes...so many lighthouses to see!

It is White River, MI Lighthouse..



One of our favorite stops along Lake Michigan..

Paul goes on the sunny days, seems like when I go it's about rain....

Actually Mark, the 3 times before that trip and the next time after it, it was raining when we stopped at White River Lighthouse... That image was shot in 2004..

I even went twice to the lighthouse, with Bill Younger, for one of our Bill in front of the lighthouse holding the lighthouse shots and it rained both time..
