I have even tried being tricky, looking to see where you have gone...Darlene, you have been all over. Would you by any chance have gotten to take pictures inside Battery Point?

problem with flickr is they don't want to allow members to load their stored pictures onto another website. They want members to SEND people to flcikr to look at your pictures there.

That way they (and other photo sites) can claim higher numbers of visitors and charge more for their ads.

You can include a LINK to your photo here or follow the steps to upload your pictures to our free storage space.

Here on the forum. I looked at pictures you posted of lighthouses you visited, but nothing looked right.

Sorry for the delay gang -- I'm off to work and will try to upload pictures onto forum storage space tonight when I get home.

Very interesting with Flickr as I have always done it that way and there has never been a problem. Thanks John for letting me know.

Hang in there Laura smile

OK John, I tried to upload photos to the storage space here with no success; photos too large; how do I reduce the size?

You don't have ANY photo editing software?

http://www.irfanview.com/

Here's a free one. Or check on Google's Picassa, also free.

The software that came with your digital camera may be able to resize the images.

Or you may be able to resize the images at Flickr and download the smaller size ones.

Thanks Bob, Paul & John for the information and emails regarding uploading and resizing images; very much appreciated. I do have photo editing software but have not used it very much and did not realize I could resize photos through that program. Hopefully what I am seeing on my end as far as a photo, everyone else is able to see too.

OK Laura -- game on

I don't recognize the quilt, but the bed is just like the one I used to sleep on when I stayed at my grandma and grandpa's home; when I was a little boy, a long, long time ago..

Bob, the house we Bradys stayed in at Point Arena was a regular Ranch style house, if you are referring to the 4 houses on the way back to the lighthouse..

Perhaps it is Selkirk, NY Lighthouse..

I almost didn't recognize it with the center post in place, but the picnic table was a dead give away!!!

Yes, Paul is right. We were there in July 2007 and had the pleasure of a private tour inside the lighthouse with the caretaker at that time.
Everyone who spends the night is invited to place a rock on the fireplace with a message.

Here is a different view of the lighthouse since Paul posted a view of the backside.

OK Paul, your turn

I think that "best visit" was the best visit to ANY lighthouse for Bill Younger, too. Only wish I could have been there for it.

Stephanie is having problems logging in to the Forums because she deleted some cookies yesterday. She can read the Forums but can't log in to post. The problem came between her posting her guess and Eric's notification that she was correct. John and Dave have been notified and Stephanie asks that someone else take her place and play the next round.

Any takers?

OK my problem seems to be an AOL problem. I signed in using Firefox with no problems at all. TG

Now let me find a lighthouse photo and we'll be back up and running! Will post it within the hr.

Dave, Rich and Paul, Thank you all for trying to help me.

After looking at a map, It was Port Weller that I was thinking of. It is at the north end/low end of the Welland canal, on Lake Ontario. Probably not right either. Port Dalhousie is just west of there.

OH there really is a Port Dalhousie? I'm sorry I thought you were making a funny (Port Da-Light-House-ie).

But no that still isn't it. An no Port Weller isn't either.
