I think most of our players are doing the Florida Gulf Coast lighthouse challenge this weekend.

And having a great time! Pouring rain today so its more lighthouses instead of beach. Life is tough!

Is it McGullip Point?

I'll fall on the grenade.

I rode all over the place after MacKinac Reunion trying to find it with no luck!

Yipee, Bob got it, except for the correct spelling, the next time you are in the area Bob I will talk you in to the light. It really is pretty easy to get to and they do have some signage..

Sorry for the delay it's been one of those weeks.

Sapelo Island? Maybe before the steps were restored?

Looks a little like Cape St George with the wooden stairs.

That was my first thought also, but at St. George the steps are brand new and the brick inside the tower is not painted. Previous St. George had a metal staircase. St. Marks has a wooden stair but in much better condition.

A wee spot little more fore ye view pleasure...

No Laura I do not. I just take photos from weird angles. Also most of the other photos I have of this light would easily give it away. So I had to post the ones where all you see is what's up. I'll add a couple more photo's when I get home from work.

I have been trying in vain to remember, a money raising project at a lighthouse..

I was so certain that this one would be soooo easy that I only uploaded this shot and a complete pic. I just thought it would be fun to identify a lighthouse from only one step. For anymore clues I will have to wait till this evening.

What year was your first picture taken Bob? The building was a different color.

The first one was taken in 2005 and the second in 2000. Good eyes Laura! The main part of the building remains white but above the balcony is brown,

Your picture is the porch of the keepers house closest to the entry road. The one that was unrestored for so long while the other house was so nicely restored.

I really liked the picture with the palms blowing around the lantern room. Could you feel the tower moving when you were inside?
Next mystery light...

Laura I had climbed the tower before the "gust front" hit. I could feel the tower swaying just a little on the way down. When I got outside the wind really picked up. Fortunately this was back in the day when they could drive you out to the lighthouse in a minibus and not have to ride the boat. I'll post a picture when I get home of some fast flapping flags and the lighthouse.

I asked because I remember Point Arena moving in the wind. That is a strange feeling when you are that high up. I was hoping to see a bigger picture showing the wind. Thanks!

Coquille River Lighthouse

You got it Paul. Was it that hard? I can never tell which ones will be difficult.

I thought it was Coquille from the interior roof but was confused by the stairs since I never got to climb it

Nancy and I had a private tour. You call the park there to make arrangements. Other than Heceta, Coquille was the only lighthouse we got to climb that trip.

I will post something in a bit.. We have our two grand-daughters this week so they seemed to be taking up most of our time.. Sue and I are suffering through it.. LOL

I hope to feel your pain in 3 weeks?(lucky dog!)

In honor of having our Grand-Daughters with us this week, what is the lighthouse that Chloe and Sue are in front of, this light was Chloe's 1st real lighthouse to visit..

Here they take a walk through the grounds just before it started raining..
