I will start a new game which will give a view of a lighthouse that may be different or partial.
After awhile if the original view can be updated to reveal a closer or larger part of the lighthouse. You should be able to id the lighthouse with any photo with a little investigation. So give me a minute to post the first digital.

If you are correct, you have the option of posting the next Mystery LH. If you don't have one right now let me know. I have a few to start.

Ground comes up behind it so its on shore

I can't tell if thats a fresnel in there or not.

Thought I had it for a minute there. Chatham is just about right, except for the beach view. Even the additional mountings on the lighthouse and the flag.

Compare (Mystery LH #1-3) with the picture on Lighthouse Friends. Even the chimney tops on the Keepers Quarters line up just right.

I was going from photos 1 and 2, but I see what you mean Stephanie. When I looked at aerial photos in Marinas I couldn't see the stair down to the beach, however when I look at a satellite photo I can see a stair with a landing. Still not sure though. When I saw the porthole windows, I thought of Montara, knew it wasn't that one, but I knew it came from Mass. so I went there. Fun search! Really like the way you are giving us a little more and a little more...

Well, you are right, it isn't. (Laughing) I can't tell if that is yellow or tan even.

Does look like the tower is closed.

The color reminds me of the Robert Manning Memorial Light in Michigan.

Looks like it could be English or Irish.

If I give you clues about location, I'll give it away for an easy search. It's in Americas.

It's was technically built by one country but is controlled by another country, on an area controlled by two countries.
This gives it away!

I guess I misled you a little. It's on an island claimed by both Canada and US. When I was there the research team that was studying the birdlife on the Island and taking care of the lighthouse was USA.
So John is in the ballpark as Eric stated.

Bob, looking back I can see that you did not say it was not Canadian.

I was at this lighthouse in 2001. We went by boat and then had to take a smaller boat to the rocky shore and climb about 100 yards over the wet rocky shelf to get to the edge of the island.
We got to observe the Puffins as well as climb the lighthouse. Because of the rough seas only 4 of the 15 of us actually got to go on the island. I guess it was precariosus enough that no complained although disappointed. This was my first lh adventure with Merle Wiggins.

I'm aware of you guys checking my trips! lol

BUT I've been on many trips.

Make sure when you post you lighthouse pic that you don't leave the lighthouse name in the downloaded name. It can be seen on the image tag.

Glad you're having fun. I thought of this while taking photos on my last trip but found when reorganising my pics that I always took shots of interesting views and unique features that would work. And I'm sure you all did too!

That looks like a 'faux' lighthouse - the windows in the 'lantern room' don't look right - more like house windows than ones a lantern would be seen through.

Its not a "faux" light, its Tucker's Beach Light, NJ.
